How to Ship Flowers & FAQ

You can store the flowers in the refrigerator without water until you ship them.  If you're shipping whole flowers, surround them in paper towels. If petals, pull the petals off the flower and layer them between paper towels. Pack them in a box or manila envelope with NO padding. No plastic in the packaging at all. They'll ship perfectly this way and I can finish drying them out here at our facility, if necessary.

HOW MANY FLOWERS DO YOU NEED TO SEND?

For a jewelry piece, I will need about 10 petals per bead. For larger pieces, I will need several whole flowers. Please send greenery, baby's breath, or any other pretty parts of your bouquets and arrangements - anything that you think will look nice as a part of your finished product.  Stems are not necessary. Trim the flower close to the base.

WHAT ARE THE BEST FLOWERS TO SEND?

Most florist's flowers work well.  Roses, daisies, carnations, baby's breath, sunflowers, most wildflowers, bell flowers, mums, buttons, daffodil, dahlia, gerbera daisies, hydrangea, iris, larkspur, poinsettia, snapdragons, statice, tea roses, and any greenery and ferns.

The flowers that don't dry well or don't hold their colors are lilies, magnolias, orchids, and thinner, more delicate wildflowers. White roses tend to turn beige, and red roses are much darker when dried.

WHAT ELSE CAN I HAVE PRESERVED IN RESIN?

You can preserve crematory ashes, small bits of ephemera, tiny photographs, hair and pet fur, seashells, sand, glitter, lace, fabric, wood, and stone. Wondering about an item you would like preserved?  Contact us!  We love doing custom work.

HOW SOON WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

Generally, we run on a 4-6 week turnaround time. This includes receiving your order, properly drying the flowers if you're sending fresh botanicals, creation of beads, and finishing the product.  If you need a rush order done, there is a fee for that, and your order will be given priority over others.
